I long for you to know the Bible both critically and conversationally. That’s why this site exists.

The Merger began as one thing – a place to tell great stories from the Bible. We wanted to show each of our readers how the great stories in Scripture highlight the intersection where life and faith meet. Over the course of several long-form chapters, we hopefully demonstrated that God’s plan was always put in place on purpose, executed with precision, and fulfilled with beautiful harmony.

Today, it’s grown beyond that original design. Now, the Merger is a place where you can still find those stories and deep study, but also a few weekly blogs devoted to different parts of Bible study, theology, and even practical faith.

This was a project born out of the working relationship between Neal Mathis and the ministry interns that served with him over the years including Matthew Higginbotham, Bishop Darby, Bryce Keele, and Timothy Secula.

Neal still serves as Editor today alongside of many talented writers and contributors. He works with the Three Forks Church of Christ outside of Smiths Grove, Kentucky and teaches Theology at Foundation Christian Academy in Bowling Green.
